What is Craft?
To use the word 'craft' as a verb, it means many things. One definition could be where imagination meets the tangible. Craft is the act of using skill and experience in an applied medium. Craft can be a particular skill combined with art, that creates something people can hold and admire. Other ways to look at craftsmanship; it can be considered a lost art, it takes a long time to become proficient in a craft, it requires some sort of apprenticeship or learning stage, and it is a significant accomplishment to become a craftsman. Some crafts are very rare making the craftsman very sought after. The term 'craft' denotes precision and expertise, and what that means for me is that I need to continue to learn from experts in the art fields I am interested in, to one day master a craft myself.
