Artist Biography
My parents tell me that as soon as I was old enough to hold a paint brush, I wanted to paint. I think I was about 18 months old and my Mom set up a big easel in our backyard and I wanted to go out there and paint everyday. Art was always my favorite subject in school. I asked my parents for art lessons when I was in second grade and I started attending a local Monart program once a week. My first teacher was Miss Bettina, she had a very thick German accent and made class so much fun, I am really thankful to have learned from her.
I continued with those classes intermittently for about 4 years. I took art for 4 years in high school and finished up with AP Art. As I am currently studying art at Pacific, painting continues to be my passion, it's both challenging and gratifying and I am grateful for the instruction and knowledge I received these last three years.
