Personal Biography

My Dad loves music, so much so that when he was in college he made up his mind that if he ever had a daughter, he would name her Kayleigh after a song from some obscure British rock band. True story, that's how I received the name Kayleigh. When I was little I didn't like it very much because it was hard to spell and people mispronounced it a lot, but now I am okay with it because I think it's unique. I grew up in Roseville and attended Adventure Christian School from preschool to 8th grade. I am grateful for my Christian education and for being exposed to the Gospel at a young age. I attended Woodcreek High School and really liked the art, writing and literature classes. I've been described as an old soul, and I'm okay with that too.

My biggest hobby outside of art is swimming, I'm a fish. I started swimming on a competitive team when I was 9 and I haven't looked back. I love the water and I am terrible at almost all other sports. I started working as a lifeguard during summers and teaching swim lessons. I love teaching kids to swim, it's so fun and rewarding. I am really glad I had to opportunity to work at the pool, I live just a few blocks from the Aquatics Complex in Roseville, so it was easy to walk or ride my bike to work. I'm an animal lover, I hope to own acreage one day so I can have horses and goats, I want to live in the country and have some open space around me.
